Legend of Rainbow Fairy







Qian Yi stars opposite Wang Xinxin in this contemporary Chinese opera that fuses traditional Nanguan style music with the Kunqu form of Chinese musical theater.

Qian Yi plays the Yang Gui Fei the Tang dynasty courtesan whose beauty and ill-fated love affair with Tang Ming Huang made her one of the most legendary figures in Chinese history. This production recounts the legend that she was taught music by the Lantern Fairy.


Legend of Rainbow Fairy was performed at the Novell Hall in Taipei, Taiwan.







Crowds gathered after the performance to meet the stars and have their programs autographed.
