Prelude
Between Worlds
On a snowy mountain peak, beyond the reach of time, three female deities sing between worlds.
From deep mist and rising water vapor, a primordial landscape unfolds — a world where the visible and invisible, the tangible and intangible, exist together.
Through the endless cycles of earth, ocean, mountains, and wind, life begins its journey from the unseen toward form.
At the center of this creation story is Moss — a humble and tiny life form.
Beginning without form or identity, Moss moves through the forces of nature and time, gradually gathering into being and awakening to the vastness of life.
A story of becoming, belonging, and remembering what was once forgotten.
music
The score draws from diverse traditions of chanting from East and West, Chinese traditional music theater, oratorio, Western contemporary opera, and minimalism.
